• Maintain: If your HVAC system is under 16 years old and hasn’t been giving you any issues, basic maintenance issues. Bi-annual maintenance checks are recommended to ensure you get the best performance from your system.
• Repair: When your system is malfunctioning, our certified technicians will evaluate the issue and give you best options for your home, budget and schedule.

• $5000 Rule: For an AC, repair will be a viable option if your system passes the $5000 rule which is: Cost of Repairs ($) X Age of Air Conditioner (Years) < 5,000. If the total is less than $5000, then it’s reasonable to replace it. Example: Your AC is 5 years old and the repairs are $300, so 5X300= 1,500. Since, 1,500 is less than 5,000, a repair is recommended.
• The Half Rule: For furnaces, repairs are generally recommended when the repair costs are less than half of replacement costs.
• Replace: Conversely, if your unit doesn’t pass the above rules then replacement is necessary. Once your system gets to 16 years old, it’s good to consider looking into replacements.
